During the holiday season, approximately 47 students’s families from Pearland Independent School District received help thanks to generous local businesses and private individuals who dug into their personal resources: Wal-Mart-Dixie Farm Road employees donated $4,000 for holiday meal supplies and gift cards, with Wal-Mart Foundation providing a $6,000 grant to combine with employees’ donation. Wal-Mart-Main Street employees donated 42 blankets for students without heated homes.
