It's 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday and Brittanie Rivera and her coworkers are busy unpacking boxes and stocking shelves with office supplies.

All around the inside of the building are signs of a department store coming to life. Plush toys lay in baskets, board games are placed on shelves.

In October, the Christmas candies are already on display. Rivera, 26, of Millersville, applied for a job with Walmart at 8107 Ritchie Highway in Pasadena in September, landing the job soon after.

For the past 1 ½ weeks, Rivera and her coworkers have been unpacking the store's inventory.

"We're all pretty enthused for the 11th," she said.

On Nov. 11, Veterans Day, the community will finally get to see what Rivera and her coworkers have been working on. The opening comes after more than a decade in delays.
