Pratt Walmart One of First Stores to Install Wind Generators

The Kansas wind will soon help Pratt’s Walmart store lower its electric usage when it starts powering eight new wind generators in the parking lot. The new wind generators will be located on top of the existing light fixtures in the parking lot, said Walmart General Manager Marilyn Kokojohn. The Pratt Walmart will be one of the first of 500 Walmart stores not only in Kansas but also in the United States to have wind generators installed to help make the stores more sustainable. “I’m really excited about this,” Kokojohn said.
