Utah Food Bank asks for votes in Walmart contest

The Utah Food Bank in Salt Lake City has moved into second place in an online contest that could net the agency $1 million if the votes keep coming in.

Walmart’s “Fighting Hunger Together” Facebook campaign currently ranks Salt Lake City as No. 2 and Ogden as No. 5 in the contest, which asks residents to cast votes for any one of 100 communities where hunger rates are highest.

As of midday Wednesday, Fresno was in first place.
