WalMart celebrates completion of remodeling

In a pleasant morning, surrounded by associates, family members, special guests and more, Douglas Wal-Mart celebrated its grand re-opening after months of intense remodeling to give local shoppers a new buying experience. The remodeling in Douglas was part of a nationwide remodeling of WalMart stores.

The kick off of the event took place outside of the store at 8 a.m., on Friday, August 27, with the American Legion Honor Guard presenting honors to the American Flag, the singing of the National Anthem by Cecilia Yanez, and followed by an invocation and blessing by Father Robert Rodriguez, Saint Bernard Catholic Church.
